There is always room to negotiate… Really??

6 January 2009

I watched Meet the Press over the weekend. Harry Reid the senate leader was on the show. I was totally blown away by his comment at the end of the questioning on Blagojevich’s appointment of Roland Burris. In response to a direct question, he said “… There is always room to negotiate.” Huh? Isn’t that the what and why they want to impeach Blagojevich? Yeah, maybe it isn’t a direct quid pro quo reference to cash….but it’s politics after all and money changes hands in many ways. So it seems to me that he is basically asking on national television that he is ready to negotiate with who was going to get BO’s senate seat? Nothing changes “…it’s just a box of rain…

it’s crazy what Blagojevich has gotten away with already… he’s an international embarrassment

It is crazy, but maybe I’m a doubting Thomas, I think it is typical.
I think he’s been ‘caught’ since he pissed off his own party in Chicago.

‘Tis good theater, as time slides past the raindrops ever fall
