Frighteningly Ambitious Startup Ideas

10 March 2012

From a great article about Frighteningly Ambitious Startup Ideas. I really liked this about Moore’s Law.

Moores Law used to mean that if your software was slow, all you had to do was wait, and the inexorable progress of hardware would solve your problems. Now if your software is slow you have to rewrite it to do more things in parallel, which is a lot more work than waiting.

I’m sure we’ve all been feeling like things are passing us by. We used to know how things work, now we just buy new ones. We used to choose our leaders, now we can’t understand why we don’t have any choices. All the little things we used to be able to see, now we can’t. Can you see the light? Or is it an oncoming train.
